Disadvantages:
- *NOT invincible (has limits to his durability)
- is NOT sonic-fast (not all mobian hedgehogs are like sonic....Dett can't run at sonic speeds)
- insane? (Both a pro and con....he's a bit loopy)
- slightly more vulnerable to electricity (the metal parts covering his wounds are more susceptible to electric-based attacks)
- *metal coverings are not indestructible (they have limits and under certain pressures CAN break...but Dett can fix them)

Bio:
The son of two freedom commandos, Katherine and Robert, Detonator was taught some skills at a young age (mainly for use if someone broke into their house etc.).
His parents went missing in action (M.I.A) and would spark a lot of questions within himself [mainly being: "where are they?" and "are they still alive"] so he decided to join the freedom commando unit in order to become stronger and to see if it would yield some answers to his questions.
He was trained by Major Toshanya (a female raccoon) and became a very skilled soldier earning the respect of the major as well as a romantic interest in a fellow soldier called Elizabeth (a chipmunk).

Things changed...and for the worst...Elizabeth was killed by an enemy sniper during a mission to gather some intel
Detonator was ordered to capture and bring back the sniper for possible leads...but detonator was filled with sadness and pure rage, he pummelled the sniper to death with his own fists (which he felt at the time was fair punishment as he killed Elizabeth)
After learning of his actions, Major Toshanya had no choice but to kick detonator of the unit (as much as she didn't want to).
He began a bit of an arrogant lifestyle after that...which is vague as he doesn't like thinking about it and tries his hardest to purge those memories out of his head...but form what little can be remembered he picked fights with anyone that looked at him funny....which would soon nearly get him killed.

Awaking in a strange looking hospital Detonator soon noticed his body (namely his lower legs, his wrists/arms and head) were covered with a strange metal covering, a metal which still has nerve reactors (like skin so he can still feel the cold/heat etc.). He had been saved by some mysterious scientist...but felt that he didn't deserve what he had been given.
In order to rectify himself and try to push the arrogant life away, detonator began to intensely train himself in all known weapon and combat skills and to further hone his current skills, in which he succeeded...but a side-affect caused him to become insane/crazy, now donning his well-known gear he began his new life and new "career" to essentially stop villains, crooks and anyone who would break the law or cause harm to innocent people....well that and having to take numerous part-time jobs...what? Being a hero doesn't exactly earn you money.
